russ
Hi Scotty,aim for the:300D, 350D, 400D, 10D, 20D, 30DThe Nikon's are capable too:D50, D70, D70s and D80You'll need a t-adapter, remote control for starters
Kaptain Klevtsov
Take note that the Nikon cameras (well my D50 at least) do not do very well with the red channel through filters. Light pollution filters cut out some red light but the bit that gets through doesn't register with my Nikon at all.Captain Chaos
Greg
Let us not forget the D60.......Not that i'm biased or anything!

daz
Well, only that they specific to the model of camera scotty i.e. you need a 300D one. Scopes And Skies do them quite cheap I think

geppetto
Some nice kit there Scotty 8)Youll have some fun with that.Fingers crossed the scope's got enough "in focus"
Kaptain Klevtsov
Same 'scope as mine and mine works OK. T rings are made parfocal anyway aren't they? So you can fit a T mount camera lens on your camera with the appropriate T adapter, which means if my Nikon works, then so will a Canon?Captain Chaos
geppetto
That's good to here CCI was just harking back a couple of years or more when the Skywatcher newtswere causing grief with not enough in focus. The 130's wouldn't focus (mine wont) and neither would some of the 200's but the 250's were fine. :? daz
I had my 350D after the scope went into dry-dock, so I too am interested in the outcome of this
scotty365
OH NO - I take it that what you mean is that my scope might not have enought in travel to bring it into focus - What would be the remedy in the event this happens.Scotty
Kaptain Klevtsov
Saw an inch off the end of the tube.Or use the collimation screws to raise the primary mirror up the tube a bit, or use a Barlow lens, or use a lower profile focuser.Captain Chaos
geppetto
Think you'll be OK Scotty
scotty365
Okay, the outcome is that there is plently more "in travel" left and therefor I dont have a problem with just the camera attached, however, I wonder how a focal reducer will carry on, I'm going to try 0.5X in the near future.Scotty
