Look who I just found in my stable :)

While browsing through the stuff I have imaged this year I came across this B33 Horsehead in ha from March. I had combined it with a bit of colour and posted an RGB version somewhere or other, but never properly processed the Ha alone.

At this rate it'll be next year before I am ready to fire up the kit to get NEW data

7 x 30 min, Sxv-H9 on MN190. Stacked DSS, processed Pixinsight.

there's so much detail in the 'head' that ironically it looks less like a horse's head and more like a headless horseman! to me it looks a bit like a headless man walking out of the gloom - fabulous.

These powerhouse star creating regions always look majestically sombre to me in shades of grey.
