Comet Swan 2006

Recommended Posts

Here's a rough-first version of the comet taken last evening (Friday 10-27) from my home in Kennewick, WA. This is approx. 8 min. total exposure @ ISO 400 - 20 sec. subs.... Taken with a Canon XT and an old 180mm Nikon lens.

Thanks everyone...I had wished to do better. But, I can't seem to be able to darken the background without losing the faint tail - trail. If anyone can enhance the brightness of the tail and darken the image...please do so...Everyone can have a play....

I apprecate the kind response.

Hi James....Vg try,,,you did much better than I could. It just needs more exposure time on the tail....But, I ran out of time before it sank into the west...I appreciate your time and effort.
