Finding correct altitude

Finding it hard to find the correct altitude. Google earth shows me one thing, data logic another and my iphone gps another. Which one do i go with?

A local Ordnance map will give your altitude.

Satellite measurements are bound to fluctuate surely.

I know my Garmin Etrex gives a different altitude everytime I use it.

as you can find alititude, lat and longitude in different formats.

Dead easy to use too.

I use this site for Longitude/Latitude. It's for aligning satellite TV so pretty accurate.Also - if using a levelled eq mount then just point it at polaris and your there

i guess an actual GPS device (iphone could work) is better than most of these other programs. Google Earth could be very in accurate in many places.

just make sure the device has connection to as many satellites as possible (5 is ok)
