Plastic tubs

My eyepieces need a home and a few plastic tubs of the right diameter and different lengths would be ideal

Any ideas?

any plastic tub will do really i guess just find some foam padding, the diced stuff would be ideal so u don't need to cut to fit the EP's.

For a real cheapie - try an ice-cream tub with some carefully cut foam in to hold the eyepieces. If you're feeling posh then Maplins do "flight cases" with pick'n pluck foam for under £20 (often on offer at around £15!)

try your local tackle shop, i have my spinners in a case that would be fine for EPs.

This is how it looks with your EP's in it, this pic is a bit older I've now added a Tal 2x barlow, a 6mm Ortho and another filter!

I'm a big fan of the Maplins case also. I bought two when they were last at £15. it's amazing what you can fit in and it keeps everything so tidy and in my view, more importantly, safe when in the dark. Take one thing out and put the other one back!

here's what I did with mine. BTW I put my stuff in 'upside down' as they are then the upside up when the case is carried.

also, the 2inch eyepiece/diagonal make use of the foam insert from the boxes (thanks to WO!).

Best and easiest place to keep your EP's in in your coat pocket. Mke sure that you keep all the caps on so the lenses dont pick up loose threads from the pocket.
