Moon in Infrared and False Colour

Hi friends,

my first attempt at a full moon so I thought I'd give it the works. All taken through a FLT110, the infrared shot is with a 720nm converted Panasonic G1 camera which I normally use for creative daytime photography and the other two shots are with a canon 500D. All shots stacked and processed in PhotoShop, the infrared image has much better contrast, which was even evident when focusing the cameras live view. Does anyone else on the forum use IR converted DSLR's?

Thanks Mel

Thanks for the comments guys

Here are close-up sections of Mare Serenitas and Mare Tranquillitas so you can really appreciate the differences between the infrared / visible and false colour images. I think I'm going to use the infrared camera (top image) a lot more in the future but I'm still blown away by how the false colour image has picked up differences in the image, is this due to it being full moon and incident light reflecting straight back?
