Mount for 5" Frac

OK, I'm getting fed up of swapping scopes over on my HEQ5, so what would be a suitable mount for the frac?

Well i would obviously say another HEQ5 or LXD75 / EQ6 / GM8. £££££££££££££££££££££££££££

I think any one of these will handle it no probs but it just depends

on how much you can afford or justify.

EQ5 should do it for the f6.3 version. There's been a couple of those on Astro Buy'n'sell for £99 inc drives.

Or get the EQ6 and piggyback the 5" on the 200. :sunny:

Arthur is looking to swap his EQ6 for a HEQ5. Or there's a standard EQ6 on buy'n'sell for £340. You'll have no worries selling the HEQ5....I know Rob is desperate to lay his hands on an HEQ5 standard.

EQ5 is more than enough for an f6.4, I'd alllow another £50 buying steel legs though - they are pretty much essential IMHO. Esp. as you'll have the legs extended using a refractor.

On a connected note, as Victor Meldrew would say, I can't believe noone has taken Arthur up on his offer!!

I wish Arthur had made his offer earlier TBH, i just brought a CG5-GT and would have happily have brought his EQ6-Skyscan for the same money. Doh!
