I'm not sure the sun is as active as it should be at this stage of its cycle, but perhaps this is the start of an active spell.

Saw that image on Spaceweather... and went "WOW"

The Solar Astronomy bug has (thankfully for my wallets sake) never bitten me really... But if I still don't waver with images like that I can rest safe that my Astronomy will remain a night-time activity only.
