First DSO - M57

Your focus must have been spot on, those two stars in the centre just dont show if focus is out. Actually, very good results can be had from M57 by letting it trail slightly, and then compressing the pics back into shape in PS. It sounds bizarre I know, but it works! How long a sub do you think you could get before the stars stretch? If you can drag them out to a minute, even if the stars stretch a little, I can show you how to work a little magic on them But you'll need 50 or so subs.

The camera is the Orion Starshoot Deep Space Color Imager II, Captured in Maxim DL essentials.

I would like to use it in Nebulosity but the ascom driver doesnt seem to work

Very nice start Martin ... I think most people end up with M57 as one of their first targets.... I know I did when I got my first DSI Ic... and the images were no where near as good as yours...
