Jupiter 02/06/06

First real go at a planet image. This was taken tonight @ 11.15pm with the Quickcam 3000 un barlowed in the 127 mak - 200 frame avi run through Registax.

Cracking image! Your seeing was good, mine is so bad over the M62 (motorway) that I have boiling over off the edge of the webcam.

Thanks CC... seeing tonight was poor here due to mist coming off the sea... alot of targets were hazy tothe eye before pointing the scope... I'm happy with the result for a first go TBH. Just waiting for a crystal night now

The seeing here in Linc's was bad also,only gave Jupiter 5Min's it was that bad.

That's good going Rob. I've given up trying when the seeing is poor. You have done well with that one. More frames and a x2 barlow would produce more still maybe. Looking good for tonight

Wow... :shock: Thanks for working on it James!. As you know I'm not an imager really and still getting to grips with all this. The mak is a fantastic planet scope. I do wonder why its up for sale sometimes!!..
