Hi there.

Got out on Friday evening for the first time in some time, even if the skies do not get completely dark the itch was too much.

While I was out I sketched M29 in Cygnus, not the most challenging object to sketch but it was good to be sketching again.

Hi Paul, really pleased you got out there to sketch and a fantastic result.. there is certainly a great deal of depth to that sketch and if my memory serves me correctly (it's been a while since I saw M29) it's pretty darn accurate! A wonderful rendition of a very pretty cluster

Something I'm longing to do but never seem to do.

Fantastic sketch. Did you do this on black paper or was it inverted in PS.

It was sketched on white paper and inverted in PS. I also used the paintbrush tool in PS to give the stars their fuzzy appearance.

What I would really like to do is get the "spikes" from the scope's spider onto the brighter stars. Does anyone know how to do this in PS?

That's a really nice skectch. I need to practise as mine never look that good!
