Triffid Nebula - Orion ED80

Here is a pic of the Triffid Nebula, taken with a Canon 1000D, through an Orion ED80, guided with an ST80, through a HEQ6 mount, total of around 8 mins.

Had a 20 minute window of opportunity, as this passed overhead (I emigrated from Britol to Australia 2 years ago) not a huge image, but i wanted to post it anyway, just taken as i wanted to check some stuff in my guiding settings etc.

Nice Rich Colours... doesn't clear the trees with me "Up North" so must be nice to have it "overhead" and all those other Southern gems
