Hi,

I'm a new member, having just found the site and having bought a second-hand Sky Watcher 130P on an EQ2 with the standard 25mm & 10mm kit eyepieces and a Sky Watcher 7mm Plossl. Cost was £100 via Facebook Marketplace. I bought it for my daughter and I to do some star gazing. She is named after a star, so has become quite interested in astronomy.

Unfortunately it has been overcast ever since we bought it, so in anticipation we have balanced the OTA in the rings as well as with the counterweight, we have aligned the RDF and we have set our latitude... We just need some clear nights!

In the meantime, I have a couple of questions, about the mount which I will post in the relevant forum.

For now, here is a photo of my cats, because, why not?!
