IOptron CEM26 or GEM28

Hi Everyone,

Having owned a HEQ5-PRO for 12 years, I am now thinking between CEM26 or GEM28 mounts. However, several of my friends have reported pointing issues, especially to targets in the South like M16. What are your opinions about this? anyone use it recently?

Not in the south but I have the gem28 and once polar aligned its gotos are pretty accurate. It's tracking is even better keeping targets centred and it's incredibly quiet too.

I think if you're looking at new it's worth looking at the harmonic drive mounts if you have a need to lighten your setup or take if off site. I also have a hem15 and that too is great for its size.
