Crescent Nebula NGC6888 at the SGL4 Star Party

This was my second target on Saturday night at the SGL 4 Star Party. It was cut short by a few clouds and the approaching dawn.

I had my first go at that one mylelf not so long ago.. its a really interestting bit of sky...

I just have to do a cygnus region mosaic... I stand more chance of that than the VSC one I had been contemplating as its much better placed for me...

It's such a busy area of sky, with stars galore, and the diffuse Nebulosity around Sadr, which is ic1318 I believe. A lot of tenuous stuff, although the Crescent stands out very well.

A good job Kevin, pity cloud and impending daylight put limits on the time available to complete it.

Very very nice Kevin - I didn't realise quite how much nebulousity there was in this area until recently. In fact, in my crescent's from last year, I've processed out the nebulousity, thinking it was LP!
