@Steve Ward just for my understanding, am I right in thinking this is out together using data off Helioviewer, not from your own data? I doubt the clouds would cooperate enough to allow you to do it but wouldn’t it be nice if they did!!

The clue is stamped on the video Stu ... the data is from the SDO/HMI Continuum stream , all the SDO wavelengths are available to download and play with.

I'd do well to capture 24 hours a day even if the weather co-operated ... 😆

Yes, thought as much, just wasn’t sure others realised that too. It’s a great site I hadn’t seen before, will use it in future. I like the earth size comparison feature 👍

Thanks for posting it. The way it grew really makes you realize the power involved. 

I also liked the way as it disappeared around the limb, you could easily recognize that it going around a sphere!
