Lyrid Meteor Shower

The Lyrid Meteor shower is approaching its peak 22/23 April, hopefully provide some good views.

Oh the joys of cloud.

Out this morning at 4:30 am under incredible skies.

In about an hour I saw 5 Lyrids in different areas of the sky, but all pointing back to Lyra. 

Just as I got up to go back in I saw a sporadic that was the best!

Hopefully the sky will be good tonight and I'll set up the camera.

Think I saw one or two also, shame cloud is forecast for the peak.

I saw one on early Wednesday morning around 3am when I was trying to practice imaging the milky-way. I tried tonight but not a sniff. Looking cloudy for the peak here too.

Just seen two not very bright meteors heading SE from near the Plough.
