Moon occults Uranus 14/09

I've currently got some cloud but hoping it will clear...

Wall to wall cloud here, but I’ll check before 10:30. Not holding out much hope, but you never know!

The clouds cleared sufficiently for me to get a clear view of Uranus for two or three minutes before it disappeared behind the Moon.

I had a session last night, a bit of a planetary shakedown in preparation for tonight and left the scope out all night and all today but it's clouded out here and I think the Moon won't clear the house until its all over anyway.

So I put the toys away just after dark and settled down to a gin or two instead. I've had less than 10 hours sleep since getting up on Sunday morning so it's for the best!
