M51 in Wide Field

Actually captured nearly 6 hours worth over 3 nights but dropped the integration down to 4 hours as I wasn't happy with the quality of the stars. I thought less might be more in this case!

It's never going to be detailed given the scope and camera but it's all good practice.

Had to do a lot of cleaning up (need to have a look at my L-Pro filter) but it's not like there's any imaging that can be done given the current weather, so I'm happy to noodle around on processing at the moment.

 

4 hours worth of 180s subs plus calibration.

Processing with starnet++, Topaz Denoise AI and Photoshop CC

Oh wow this is gorgous work Tony! I spotted atleast 5 background Galaxies in this image too! After enjoying the taget image, I always go "other object" hunting through images, because I often find little gems hiding in plain sight! Great work mate! Thanks for sharing!
