SolarQuest Mount

Hi, new guy here just starting off. Lots of questions! I've just bought one of these & cannot move it with the toggle switch unless uold the power button....which is way too aggressive for centering.....any tips would be greatly appreciated...Jeff

After the mount has moved to the sun you should just need to use the 8 way slide switch to center the sun. It will move extremely slowly using the slde swith and movement will not be noticeable just looking at the mount. Only when looking through the eyepiece will you notice movement. 

You shouldn’t be holding the power button. Won’t work properly if you do.

Good advice from @johninderby

Setting my mount is very much as the instructions. Point just left of sun with sort of the right altitude.
Power on, then get the scope out of the box.
Usually by the time I am ready fasten the scope into the dovetail, the mount is ready for me.
The sun may be visible in the scope, or I may need to use the finder.
Either way, a little bit of up/down/left/right on the switch and the sun is centred.

If you use the power button, you reset the mount.
