Mr Spock
The sky is blue, the seeing is good, and... the solar disk is almost featureless. Well, there are a couple of small spots near the limb accompanied by a larger group of faculae, but that's it Not what I was hoping for.
Ibbo!
Typical isn't it, constant cloud while the AR's flit across the disc then as soon as they go round the far side it clears up.
Stu
That’s a shame. What’s the seeing like? granulation any good?
Gonariu
In fact, the Sun gave a show last month, also thanks to the good weather that around 10 December deigned to do after a month and a half of rain every day. Today at 13.53 (Italian time) with my achromatic 80/400 at 50X it was desolately empty; the new cycle seems to have been on alternating current for some time. Kon
It was not much on display today was it? I had a look at the following site https://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/ and I thought that it was not worth bringing the Dob out.
