Hi all just a heads up but the geminids are active now. Even tho past peak. Seen several bright meteors tonight and a fireball few minutes ago.

That's a beast fireball !, is your cam part of the UK meteor network?

I saw one similar a few yrs back in February. It started overhead and I thought it was a firework. It silhouetted the roof in a double green flash as it burnt out.

There were sightings of that fireball as far away as Scotland.

Just so much cloud the last few days, weeks, sorry i mean months 🙂 Thanks for sharing the Fireball video, it is the only Geminid i have seen.  An excellent capture, looked a beauty!

What camera captured that a CCTV one?  Makes me wonder if it's worth using one of my CCTV cameras to see what it would record.

Hello yes. It's a wyze cam v3. Thought I'd try it for maybe meteor watching and timelapse. Seem to work quite well. Had a bit of fading around to get it working over my wifi but seems pretty good quality for only fifty quid.

Thanks, I have a Neocam 2 with reflashed Wyse firmware but it looks like the new Wysecam v3 is far better especially for night vision.

Whenever there's a meteor shower it's always cloudy. Don't think I've seen one since 2015.
