More natural clavius Rework

Easy to go overboard with good data initially. Then looking back you think. Maybe not. Looking at Mikes superlative balance. Helps me realize what i used to do lol. Anyway less detail maybe. But much more natural and real looking in my opinion. Just did gaussian wavelet on registax. A different Clavius capture, as can be seen by the horizon. Post processing on image analyzer which has its own deconvolution. A very simple one that i find useful, if used mildly. Wanted to present at full size. But oversampled here so it works better reduced so 75% rendition.

Very nice image. I like the way it brings more detail in, as you look towards the lunar horizon . What you have done processing wise is positive stuff indeed.

Regards,

Steve

Hi Steve still tweaking it here. think this looks more natural. it blends more naturally

Absolutely stunning Neil.   Not just Clavius but a fabulous moonscape.  For me processing looks awesome.  :)

Trying to find my feet with better data i think Mike. its actually helping having your influence. Because its harder to stray too far. If you ever try registax wavelets. I think gaussian wavelets might be more up your street. But to be honest doing your own thing often is the way to go. As you have discovered it trains your eye.

Wall to wall cloud here. So time to figure how to get the best out of the recent captures. The mosaic is close to where i want it. the closeups perhaps not yet. But thats the fun of processing as you know Cheers for all the discussion its helping

That's a real beaut Neil, very well done

Thanks Craig really enjoying my astronomy again. Its been a great mental help with the pandemic. Just got my second jab. Side effects and such but improving now. laying low. So time for processing.
