Jupiter, Jupiter & three moons and Saturn on the 25th of August 2021

Hi all,

At last I had de opportunity to use my Maksutov 180 up in the Teide National Park and, after overcoming some issues, which had to do with my not having done a proper dress rehearsal with all my gear, I managed to fill up my laptop's hard drive all right 😅. I'm not sure when I'll have the time to process so much stuff, but here you have what seems to be the best images I've managed to produce from them so far:

Europa on the left, Ganymede and Io on the right (Ganymede on top). This is the first time I've got some Galilean moons properly round, hurra!.

Jupiter again, a bit later. Pity that the Great Red Spot was not visible... Ah well, maybe next time.

Yes, Saturn was also visible, so I gave it a go as well... Did I get a surface a storm or is it just an artifact of my (not so good) processing?

The gear:

Sky-Watcher Skymax 180 PRO
Sky-Watcher HEQ5
Kepler flip mirror
ZWO ASI 224MC

The software:

SharpCap (for polar aligning)
FireCapture (for imaging the planets)
Autostakkert (stacking)
WinJUPOS (derotating videos)
RegiStax (wavelets)
Fitsworks (denoising)
The Gimp (final touch with curves and so forth)

Thanks for looking,

NV
