APT images very small......

Not sure if this is the right section but i am still getting the hang of my 533 mc pro,so dont know if its the camera,APT or DSS, but my images are really small,like thumb nail size,any ideas.

Think that's how your viewing it, does it still look small in PS,  or whatever processing software that you're using?

I'm just using gimp at the minute and it is small there also, looks OK on APT screen.

Make sure you're not looking in the "apt_thumbs" folder for the night of the images. These come out about that size but are only jpg or png thumbnails of the main images.

The main images are normally FITS format files.

Thats a better view,yes was viewing on small icons,but still small,i notice the subs were saved as png,would this cause the small image.

Should save as fits they do on my zwo533mc using APT ,look at your settings, if you use Goto ++ apt will put target in centre of screen , see my attached image from the other night

The .png file format wouldn't alter the size of the image. Maybe you set the image size in APT incorrectly ? Right click on one of the offending images to check the properties of the file.

That file is apt_thumbs. You're still looking at the thumbnail file and not the main image.

The fullsize images should be in the directory C:\APT_images\CameraCCD_1\2021-08-13\

Seems they are small here also.........
