X1 Solar fare 3rd July

Hi all, managed to capture the X1 flare today between the clouds. It only lasted a few minutes but produced an X-ray flare that hit the earth a little later. Images taken at 14:31 and 14:34UT.

very powerful little monster,   still pretty active on that side of the limb; i just got some great  limb laces in super high rez out of that little menacing tempest

Just watched Country File weather for the week, apparently there's a drought in Scotland whereas my little corner of the UK has had twice the normal rainfall for June.

Goodness Dave. Hope it gets better for you soon. My stats for June was 21 days of solar observation/imaging out of the 30 days. I thought that was pretty good going and was surprised it was that many.
