banjaxed
I had a small window last night so the Mak 127 was put into action for 20 minutes. The images were very clear and as I looked at the top edge I saw what looked like an arch which stood out because it was quite high and looked like it was hollow. I have never seen it before so I wondered if anyone could tell me what it could be, or have I just not noticed it before?
lenscap
The jewelled handle ? https://skyandtelescope.org/online-gallery/jewelled-handle/; Sunlight shining on the Jura mountains around Sinus Iridum. The first time I saw this it made my jaw drop. I thought there was a hole in the Moon! 😀 Edited August 29, 2020 by lenscap

Whistlin Bob
This is one of my favourite lunar features- it's a beautiful sight. It's quite a bit shorter, but in height not dissimilar in scale to the Alps.
Starwatcher2001
I took these (poor) shots of the "Bridge on the moon" on 19/12/2007 by holding my camera to the eyepiece of my dob, then went inside and told my wife that the Moon's developed a handle. It is a beautiful and surprising view when you see it for the first time.
