This Mornings Moon - 17th Dec

I had a moment or two, just after 8 this morning, so I grabbed the C80ED (grabbed in the loosest sense) popped it on my portable camera tripod, used the 450d at prime with a 2x TC to get 1200mm. A single RAW frame processed in Aperture.

That's a sweet Image John. I feel that Cyan sky compliments the moon very well.

I'm calling it Cyan, that's how it looks to me. Anyway. It is very nice mate.

Nice picture. Now for stupid question - the camera and 2x TC were connected to a scope? How do you connect to it? Do you use a T-ring adapter or is there something else?

I know the scope has t threads but I can't quite get focus with the camera directly attached

Next daft question - what's the OM stuff? It certainly seems like a lot of bits to fit the camera to the scope.

OM mount is old Olympus gear. Stuff I had lying around anyway. I bought the EF - OM converter to allow me to fit it to the camera. For Deep sky stuff, It was a t ring, nosepiece into scope. Have a look at my M42 Test thread.
