Thanks for the kind comments fellow stargazers.

I'm currently in negotiation for a motor drive for my RA axis (I'm presuming this is the one I use to track objects)

Excuse my lack of knowledge, but I'm still a bit green to it all.

ah... polarscope... :)

I've purchased an electric focus motor and it works an absolute treat, next is the polarscope followed by the RA drive...

Now who knows a sure fire way to get clear skies (moving to hubble isn't an option either)

New Mexico? Not as far as Hubble either. :laughing2:

For Lunar imaging the Polar Alignment isn't critical. The RA drive is much more important.

Try a bit of software called IMERGE. It will adjust the brightness of the frames that you merge, so that they are all the same.

And it's free :)

Great image for a first one.

I do have a question though, why are the frames so small? have you resized them. If you email me (address in my sig) the frames I can see if IMERGE improves it at all.
