I use Skysafari on android, I find it easier to use than Stellarium...

SkySafari is the last one standing for me. Brilliant on the iPhone/iPad. Well worth the money.

The downloadable observing lists are really excellent.

Hi Paul,

Could you tell me the Model No of your iPad that you use? I don't have much knowledge of iPads and I am currently looking for one to run this app only,  I think it has to have a Compass / Gyro  and WiFi  and iOS 8+ but unsure what CPU / Processor would be required to run SkySafari smoothly, I use the iphone to run Synscan pro to control a AZ-GTi mount and folk recommend separate devices to run these programs together.

I run it on an IPad 5 and an iPhone9. I have used earlier versions on an old iPad 2 with no problems. But I don’t use any of the gyro features, preferring to use it as a zoomable interactive map.
