lovely wall to wall sunshine here today, but we have a lot of fazing to contend with but otherwise seeing fair.

I did start with the 102 f11 but the mag was too much so changed to ed80 with it being more  forgiving. 

kit ed80, quark, asi120mc.

Thanks Charl.

After seeing your pics, I setup outside for the first time in months!

Looks like a second quieter region is following the lively one, I watched a few small flares incl one bright one come out of the bright region.

There seems to be at least a dozen other filaments on the disk (mostly in the bottom half) and a couple of shapely proms.

Great results Charl, I've been struck by the gremlins here, after finally getting a working Quark and cloud dodging to catch the Sun today the mount has stopped tracking in RA :cussing: it slews in all speeds but no tracking, took a few vid's trying to guide by hand but not holding out much hope.
