SH2-155 THE CAVE NEBULA

[CELESCOPE]

Had to try this very difficult nebula in Cepheus, so faint and prob not the best target to go after with the 66 but i want the wide field , could have given it longer exposures , but with rain fore cast for tonight i rushe and only done 18x7 min subs, and sure enough we are now clouded in and spitting with rain , but having said that,its my best one of this neb,

Nice one Rog... I got a coupel of Sh's on my widefield list that I have just drawn up whilst sitting in the obs...

Went through the star atlas looking for the big targets ...

The Sharpless ones are the real PITA ones to image...the faint ones some real biggies out there Gleenbech has been making them a bit of a "speciality" lately...and Rog of course...

OK Rog. I thought GordonH was having a laugh with "the Monkeys head nebula" and now you come up with the "Cave nebula". Great images from both of you but you can't just "invent" these names.

Seriously, to my shame, I had never heard of either of these before tonight. That's why I love this site. I'm always learning.
