Lunar Pareidolia refers to the images seen by humans on the face of the moon. The surface of the Moon is a complex mixture of dark areas (the lunar seas) and lighter areas (the uplands). Many cultures saw forms in these dark and clear areas that reminded them of people, animals or objects, often related to their folklore.
So why do not we Brazilians say that we see the map of Brazil on the Moon?
There it is exactly represented by the crater C Mayer D, for this it is enough to put it in the corresponding position. To make it even more intriguing, another crater, C Mayer F, is located exactly in Brasilia's position, showing that only the map does not arrive, you have to indicate the capital as well!

Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon common to all humans, known for making people recognize images of human or animal faces in objects, shadows, light formations, and in any other random visual stimulus.
So why do not we Brazilians have the illusion of seeing the map of our country carved on lunar soil?
