You know that with this dust storm there wouldn't be an more detail caught through a telescope at 6000mm focal length.

I never really saw much detail on Mars, even before the storm. Polar caps i saw every time i looked but not much else apart from on one occassion. Im usually awake at 4am now (still on hospital time). I must drag the new Bresser 102 out and have a look.

I am itching to give mars a go with my Mak, Saturn and Jupiter have been cracking views, if only this darn dust storm would settle.

Go figure, Mars will be its biggest (at the eyepiece) in 15 years, an awesome sight of the most fabled planet in our solar system, and it decides to block us out!. I swear, sometimes I think this hobby is responsible for most of my grey hair!
