It's Asteroid Day

Has anyone noticed that today is Asteroid Day, on the 110th anniversary of the Tunguska event.

Get out there and look at some asteroids!

Vesta is well placed close to Saturn in the south of an evening and is also bright enough to be seen in most telescopes and some binoculars.

One of the joys of having goto is that you can find some of the asteroids relatively easily. Makes work much easier!

Trouble is they all look like stars and never seem to look like the star maps, especially in Stellarium so I have to wait for them to move
