Keagle
Just collected a Vixen VC200L (thanks to the Mum for a lift!) from Astropilch. It's far easier to handle than my 10" newt(Now Astropilch's). First impressions are very good. Can't wait for a first light. Included was the f/6.4 reducer and an electronic focuser. (click to enlarge)A very happy Kurt!

jonbarr87
I have seen these "Vixens" popping up in online sotres more.... are they better as optical or photo?
Lady Isabella
I always took it that the VC200L was for imaging. If it is a VISAC, then I believe that the final figure of the mirror is done by a special coating process, and if the mirror needed re-coating at some point then it would have to go back to Vixen. I wonder if Orion Optics would be able to re-coat these mirrors?
Keagle
Aye the VC200L is for imaging. It has a field flattener built into the optical path.I think it is the VISAC, I'll go downstairs and have a look later. If it is then yup, I need to send it alllll the way back to Vixen. If Orion could do it that would be great. Kurt
