15.7 day old waning moon 01-05-18

I had a play around with the webcam earlier in the evening but the Moon was too low and as was expected the view was like a pot of boiling moon soup.

So I went out a little later just before our neighbour was due to transit and the views were a little better. There was patchy cloud though so closeups were not the best idea. I captured 80 full disks and then the Moon was gone! Here's a stack of 40 of them.

Pipp>AS!3>IMPPG>Photoshop

The stack output had its saturation increased in Photoshop in varying degrees with the sharpened output from IMPPG put over the top as a luminance layer.

Great set, love the colour, though ‘silly saturation’ does live up to its name! The seeing was shocking last night. I was out trying, but settled for a few wobbly test shots before calling it a night.
