Homemade counterbalance weight.

Here is a counterbalance Ive made for my cpc800, its a 700g stainless steel billet, sliding on

 a stainless rod, with anodised aluminium mounts, Hopefully it will do the job?.

 (The sticker is off a homebase plastic case, but it looks the part ! ) :-)

Quality of this work looks absolutely fabulous to me.  Excuse my ignorance but are these parts you've manufactured from scratch or are they off the shelf and put together by you?  Either way, brilliant bit of work.

Thanks ! ,I work in a machine shop, so I can get bar ends of metal easily, I did the machining/anodising in my shed.

(If any Dobbers stop here, my wife and I were talking counterweights yesterday. I still think the towing chain behind is the most accurate/elegant "fix" ever devised, b/c it's "self-graduating" if you can get the gauge correct.)
