Jupiter and Io - shadow transit.

This is from the the 25th. I took these early on while waiting for M31 to rise high enough. Needless to say I got clouded out before M31 came into view and I packed up in dismay and promptly forgot about the Jupiter avi's I had taken.

The larger image is with Toucam and x4 barlow and the smaller one is without a barlow. Both are composite images. The focus is a bit off, but that was as good as I could get it on the night.

Cracking image Tony How many frames can you get away with before movement / rotation becomes an issue?

Thanks Ian. I've read that rotation could be an issue after around 90 seconds, so about 900 frames at 10 fps.

Are you going to have a crack at imaging the transits of Saturn's moons in the coming months? I've read that now the rings have really closed up the transits are more easily visible - or something like that.
