Jupiter and Io - shadow transit.

This is from the the 25th. I took these early on while waiting for M31 to rise high enough. Needless to say I got clouded out before M31 came into view and I packed up in dismay and promptly forgot about the Jupiter avi's I had taken.

The larger image is with Toucam and x4 barlow and the smaller one is without a barlow. Both are composite images. The focus is a bit off, but that was as good as I could get it on the night.

Thanks for the info Tony.

Are you going to have a crack at imaging the transits of Saturn's moons in the coming months? I've read that now the rings have really closed up the transits are more easily visible - or something like that.

To be honest, I hadn't given it a thought. Thanks for the idea though, I'll definitely give it a go. :)
