I wish I had more time to be able to get out and do this, I also wish for clouds to just leave!

I would start with Deep Sky Stacker (DSS) and GIMPshop. Both free and excellent for starting off.

    May i ask, did you use DSS to stack the photos? Additionally, which solar filter did you use to capture the eclipse?

Thank you,

I am using DSS to stack, works well but there can be problems sometimes. For the eclipse I took off the filter ~10 seconds before totality and then took the picture.

Have professional version of Photoshop, also came with Video editor as well
