geordie85
I'm planning on getting a ball head to go with my 600d and Star adventurer for the up coming perseid meteor shower. My question is which one and would any of these suffice? https://www.amazon.co.uk/BEIKE-Camera-Tripod-Ballhead-Release/dp/B00JVK3ZG6 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00JSJXH3Q/ref=pd_aw_fbt_421_img_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=8882MDTQR50GDSSE7278 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00NBJ232A/ref=ox_sc_act_image_3?smid=A2EX1WVM28BM4K&psc=1 Or if you guys know of a different, better one I'd be happy to hear your advice/ suggestions Thanks
happy-kat
I've got the Andoer on my barn door tracker and I'm very pleased with it.
SteveNickolls
Hi, I have a Pergear TH3 and the Andoer, both support the SA and my barn door tracker fine. Both are rated for up to a 8kg load (as is the Beike). You ought to be ok with any of them. Cheers, Steve
happy-kat
You will need the little adaptor to go in the thread hole if going to be using a 1/4 size camera tripod thread as these ball heads are full size tripod threads I think. Your 600d will be the smaller tripod thread so you will need an adaptor (they are tiny) for the thread on the quick release plate from memory. They even show theses adaptors in the frequently bought together.

RichM63
Nice one Geordie, you would find that they are all the same, just different badges. I have a few of these. They work fine. Don't rely on the rubber centers on the slip clutch controls, the rubber slips. Remember that and grip the metal bit when tightening and you will be OK. What are you planning on hanging off the 'front'?

happy-kat
I bought additional top plates so my camera can quickly fit on other tripods and I don't need to remove the camera fixing plate. They came from korea or similar and are approx £8 each. Exactly same as one that comes with ball head. There's are an Amazon listing.
