Been a great day here. Hopefully it will stay clear this evening so I can test the new ED80 on the moon.

This is the best of a bad lot this morning. Some interesting granulation in the top right sector.

Had the Lunt mounted on the New HE5 Pro this morning. Had update the firmware so was able to switch it straight to Solar tracking.

Worked a treat. Did a rough alignemt with a Compass to North, bunged in all the details etc etc. and select Planets then Sun. clicked Goto and it was there in seconds, more or less spot on.

Then the Sun stayed in the FOV for the rest of the session.

Oh, and that mount is as solid as a rock. Really chuffed with it.

Good job Pat, glad the mount is working as expected, nothing worse than getting new kit that doesn't perform.
