"The Rock"

The closest for four hundred years. This Asteroid will be at its closest position to earth at around 1.24 this afternoon. At around 1.5 km in length then this is no lightweight. But fortunately for us on earth it will still be at about 1.1 million miles away from us at its closest. So no need to duck but still close enough to earth to obviously show how close these asteroids really do come to our planet.

Beta Coma Berenices at around 3:00 am looks promising, if clear.

Interesting that this one seems to be another "peanut" shaped one. Seems to be a relatively common form for these objects.
