On my way back from a conference

I have been presenting a poster on a new image processing algorithm suitable for dealing with HUGE images from remote sensing, electron microscopy, and large astronomical surveys. We are talking several tens of gigapixels to terapixels. We can now handle images way larger than what fits into memory of a single computer, and reached 103x speed-up on 128 processors.

As can be seen, I donned a suitably nerdy t-shirt. I bet most people didn't read what was ACTUALLY written on it :D

I hope your solution doesn't involve feeding illegal substances to the worker bees. ;)

I can appreciate the t-shirt even if I can't understand the technical aspects of the poster and presentation!

It's thanks to Terry Pratchett that I always think of Pleiades as being the 'small faint boring group of stars' constellation
