Happy New Year Everyone,

I managed to get up at 0330 on 5th Jan to try my 150 Mak with the new SCT focuser fitted (a story in itself as the MAK has the 63mm thread at the rear).  Seeing was average, both captures with 150 MAK , SCT focuser, flip mirror, QHY5l-ii-c, on EQ5 pro.  AVI's put through PIPP, stacked in AS2!, wavelets in Registax and tweaked in PS. Both cropped.

First image is without barlow taken at 0534 in raw at 1024x768 and only 7fps I enhanced the moons (Callisto, Ganymede and Io) slightly in PS.  Only 500 frames stacked from 1000.

Second image is with 2.5x barlow taken just before sunrise at 0724 in raw at 352x400 and 42fps. 1500 frames stacked from 3000.

Not happy with processing I think there in more info to be had on both, probably a case of 'less is more'. Still just happy to get out after all the really bad seeing.

No Barlow
