What's this comet everyone is talking about?

I think its name is Comet Honda. whats its apparent magnitude?, where in the sky is it? Can I see it in a 4.5" reflector?

Some of the posts I have seen have been fairly amusing, is it a sign of doom, is it going to split up and hit the Earth?  

Comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova would have made for a nice photo oppourtunity tonight with a slim crescent moon and Venus not far away. The comet is forecast to brighten a little in the new year as well.

Ancient times all over again haha! On the 6th when its at its closest the 1st quarter moon is going to be a problem though.
