IC1396 reprocessed

Posted this in the Observing Forum first, by mistake :help:

OK, I know I´ve posted this Elephant before but I was so much more happy with this reprocess. I lost some of the background nebulosity due to using DBE in Pixinsight, but the clarity got better.

I think this is about as good as I can manage with a DSLR, unless I double or triple the amount of subs.

Image data:

Canon EOS 550D (astromod.)
Skywatcher 150-PDS
HEQ5 Pro Synscan
Orion MMAG

12*1 minute
32*5 minutes
16*8 minutes

My image location (my front yard) is a green zone I think.

Might do a separate run with just some Ha but there is never enough time :happy9:

Hope you like it and make sure to click up the full size!

Hej Martin,

I like all the red background nebulosity you brought out. I may have another go at the one I recently posted but I probably need more subs to reach your level (I had 18 x 10 min at f/5.9). Did you use the short exposures to keep the bright stars down?

Tack Göran!

The short exposures were actually because I couldn´t wait long enough for it to be dark enough for longer exposures :D
