Sol WL 29-08-16 Round two

After this morning's session we went to Polperro in Cornwall for the day and very nice it was too. Home for some supper and another session and I'm quite pleased with the results.

350 frames captured, aligned in Pipp, 20%/70 frames stacked and sharpened in Registax, finished in PS.

Footnotes - 1. I went a little crazy with the versions playing with the colour balance in PS, sorry, but hey it's a bank holiday so I'm posting them all.     2. I'm particularly pleased with the crop, not even bothering with closeups until my new barlow arrives sometime this week (skywatcher plastic junk really is rubbish.) In the meantime a good crop is quite satisfying.     3. That'll be a 3 day run, very pleased so far.

I tried stacking 59 frames in registax today and it kept saying no memory :(

I don't know if I'm teaching to suck eggs or not Mark, but have you run it through Pipp to align and crop - I used to have the same issue until I started cropping to remove the unnecessary black stuff.

Thanks John, it didn't even cross my mind to do that, all i did in PIPP was convert the raw file to TIF.

It's going to be cracker tomorrow so i'll grab lots of data and try doing that.

Thanks.

A pox on you both. Clouds here so far, surely I can't be stopped after a run of 3. That's not fair. Hang on. Astronomy. I remember.
