Which, on unwrapping reveals this...

The phone camera has made the reflections stronger that they really are. It's like looking into a deep well. The lens cap is a very well made threaded item. Let's unpack fully and have a good look..

That's all for now, more to follow when I get the necessary adaptors and dovetail from FLO. I think this deserves a Losmandy type.

Thanks guys...

It'll be a while before first light as I've had to order some bits-and-bobs from FLO to adapt the M48 to T2 and sort out the BF.

In the meantime I've been having a play with it and found two rotators, on the focuser itself, and on the reducer, which has a three point lock. The latter is *very* slightly "rougher" than the main one on the focuser, (Which is butter-smooth) but still miles better than either of the rotators on my Megrez 90 / FR IV combination. The R&P focuser is nice and smooth too with a 10:1 reduction, though I would guess not in the Feathertouch league. I haven't directly compared it with the focuser on the Megrez 90 which has a steel track. I would expect it to be noticeably better.
