OBSERVING MEET - Nov. 2015

Dark skies are upon us, and hopefully the weather will cooperate for an observing meet soon. It will be nice to catch up with the group once again and also possibly meet some new observers.  For those who haven't been to the Blaenavon site before, it is located next to the radio towers north east of town, at the paved " Fox Hunter " car park; the coordinates are.......

On Google Earth:  51*  47'  25.74" N  by  3*  4'  10.74" W

On Google Maps:  51.790573  ,  -3.069705

The proposed observing meet dates for the month are:

November 6, 2015  or  November 7, 2015  as an alternate.  ( and / or, for the following weekend )

November 13 th,  or  November 14 th, as an alternate pursuant to the weather; please mark your Calendar's

Check this thread for updates, and also on the day, in the afternoon to see if the observing session is a  GO  or a  NO-GO  based on weather forecasts.

The weather forecasts do not look promising for the weekend observing meet at the moment folks. 

Check this thread through the week for further updates.

Update: Not looking good for Friday or Saturday, however, conditions can change.

Edit: One has to be an eternal optimist in this hobby.

An early call folks. Tonight's observing meet is a " NO - GO ". 

Edit: Prospects for Saturday night are not looking good either, but I will still post a call tomorrow afternoon.

Its not looking good for the next week or so looking at the forecast unfortunately but we live in hope

All indications are poor for a possible observing meet tonight, so once again it's a " NO - GO ". 

Hopefully next weekend will be favourable.
